Retractable Technologies’ VanishPoint® syringes have been called “the gold standard for retractable needle syringes.” They are available in a variety of sizes (0.5, 1, 3, 5, and 10mL), needle gauges, and needle lengths. The needle is automatically retracted from the patient into the barrel of the syringe when the plunger is fully depressed. This pre-removal activation virtually eliminates exposure to the contaminated needle, effectively reducing the risk of needlestick injury.

VanishPoint® syringes utilize a patented friction ring mechanism that permits automated retraction of the needle once the plunger is fully depressed. The mechanism is passive, requiring no additional steps. The safety feature is an integral part of the device’s design. VanishPoint® syringes allow for single-handed activation.

VanishPoint® syringes are easy to use and require minimal training. After activation, they require less disposal space than most other syringes and prevent disposal-related needlestick injuries. They contain no natural rubber latex and are designed to be non-reusable.

VanishPoint® U-100 insulin syringes allow for accurate measurement in one-unit increments. VanishPoint® tuberculin syringes have no components that could interfere with low-angle insertion that is necessary for intradermal injections. VanishPoint® allergy syringe trays contain 25 syringes each.

Patient Safe® syringes reduce the risk of healthcare worker exposure to hazardous drugs during reconstitution, preparation, transport, and disposal. They are compatible with most available hypodermic needles, including those with manually activated safety features, vial access devices, and luer-activated catheter hubs.
